Brief Introduction
Salinomycin is a polyether monocarboxylic acid antibiotic with special cyclic structure and wide-spectrum. Gram-positive bacteria, fungus, virus and plasmodium, especially coccid in chickens, are sensitive to it. |
Mechanism
1. The special structure of salinomycin furnishes its character of high affinity with earth metal iron, such as K, Na, Rb iron etc, which enhances the permeant ability of necessary cation passing through the ether barrier in the membrane, resulting in the iron balance changing in coccid and the death of it. So salinomycin is a typical iono-phore antibiotic.
2. Salinomycin can change the content of volatile fatty acid in the substance in large intestine and kidney, so it also has the function of gaining weight.
3. Salinomycin can improve the utility of crude protein, crude fatty acid, crude cellulose in feedstuff, so it can improve the conversion ratio of feedstuff.
|
Indication:
Anticoccidiostat, it can effectively improve the weight of chicken, pig and calf and the conversion ratio of feedstuff. |
